Sacrilege one week today!!
Yes, your regular monthly Sacrilege
dose is now just a week away! We're celebrating the summer holidays in style with the best Goth, Industrial, Post-Punk and EBM around. :-) We were so impressed with nevla
's DJ set back in June that we've asked him to come back for another go, so you really are in for a very special treat. And of course your regular DJs alixandrea
and Dvae will also be there keeping the music going right the way through!SacrilegeFriday 19th AugustQ Club
1 Station Road
Cambridge CB1 2JB9pm-2am
Entry is the usual £4/£3 concessions, but we're also running a promotion! As we now have the lovely Leroy as our security guard, we have been able to relax our door policy. However, to encourage you all to dress up, we are offering £1 Entry for the Fabulous!!
Come dressed amazingly, beautifully or just downright awesomely and you get in for JUST £1!
Though I must add that £1 entry (or indeed entry whatever you're wearing) is as always based solely on the discretion of whoever is on the door at the time. ;-)( Flyer and Facebook event link under hereCollapse )
We hope to see lots of you this month; we've missed quite a few of you recently and it'd be awesome to have you back. We have a new group on Facebook
; please feel free to join and let us know what you'd like to see more - or less - of at your club. :-) Current Mood: hopeful

15 years of the The Calling is upon us! On Saturday 6th August, Cambridge will be celebrating the anniversary of the longest-standing goth-alternative night in the city, and unsurprisingly, everyone is welcome!
Come join in the revelry where we shall be celebrating the old and the new, from medieval to steampunk. Dressing up is entirely optional, however there will be prizes for the best-dressed in each category.
Despite it being a special event, costs will not be different - £4 entry, or £3 concessions. Opening at 9pm, closing at 2am - and DJs will be as follows:
9:00 - 10:00: Lucian
10:00 - 11.30: Wanderlust
11.30 - 12.30 - DJ Satan (ROQ, old-time Calling-dj!)
12.30 - 2:00 - Neko
Get your requests in quick if you have any - and do feel free to pop me a message if you have any questions. If you have facebook, have a look for the event, and for the new "gothsoc" group, as this is probably the best way to keep up-to-date with it all.
See you all soon - and spread the word wherever you like!

Sacrilege tomorrow!! :-D
Come and get your regular dose of Goth, Industrial, Post Punk and EBM at Sacrilege tomorrow, Friday 15th July at The Q Club, Cambridge
. Our guest DJ is the lovely NoseGirl from The Calling
, playing her very last set in Cambridge before heading down to live in London.
To celebrate the fact that DV8 Fest
is just around the corner, I will be dedicating both my sets to the myriad excellent bands that will be performing there, while DJ Dvae will be filling in with the very best music you can expect to hear. :-)
We've got ourselves a great new security guard now, so have decided to relax the dress code. As long as you're lovely and not too drunk you can come in no matter what you're wearing. HOWEVER!! We are running a new promotion - £1 Entry for the Fabulous! Come dressed amazingly, beautifully or just downright awesomely and you get in for JUST £1!! Though I must add that £1 entry (or indeed entry whatever you're wearing) is as always based solely on the discretion of whoever is on the door at the time. ;-)( Flyer under hereCollapse )
See you tomorrow!! :-D Current Mood: excited
